UPDATE: Handel House Museum – Hendrix At Home project

Our planning and listed building applications for Phase 1 works to the Handel House Museum received consent from the City of Westminster in late 2013.

The project, which involves various extensions to and refurbishment of the Grade I & Grade II listed buildings, has since received a £1.2m Heritage Lottery Fund grant to restore the London flat one lived in by Jimi Hendrix into a permanent museum.

Detailed design work stages of the project are now well underway and it is hoped that work will begin on site in the autumn of 2014.

The director of Handel House Museum is writing an interesting blog describing the restoration, refurbishment and improvement project process from a client perspective.

The project has received press coverage in a wide range of publications, including the following:

Daily Mail

NME

Telegraph
