Commemorative Opening of First Part of Haig Housing Trust Development
We were honoured to attend the recent commemorative opening of the first part of our Veterans Accommodation project for Haig Housing Trust on their Morden Estate, dedicated to Ghurka hero Kulbir Thapa.
Gurkha Kulbir Thapa Magar VC was the first Nepalese Gurkha recipient of the Victoria Cross for his bravery during the First World War.
This block is one of the more contextual buildings in the seven block scheme is adjacent the existing Hill Top area of the estate. The Veterans Accommodation project consists of 68 high quality, social rent units, comprising a mix of flats and houses to suit a variety of needs in the veteran community.
