Official opening of award winning affordable housing scheme

Inside Housing selected the scheme, in Imber Cross, Thames Ditton, as one of the top 50 affordable housing developments completed in 2013, and as one of the top 5 specialist housing developments.

Dominic Raab MP (MP for Walton & Esher), Alistair Court-Smith (ex-chairman Rosemary Simmons Housing Association) and Councillor James Browne (portfolio holder for housing, Elmbridge Borough Council), from left to right in photo above, formally opened the development.

The development provides 12 new homes all designed to Lifetime Homes Standards. The buildings are designed to meet Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and incorporate on-site renewable energy technology including air-source heat-pumps, solar-thermal and solar-PV panels and MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) systems.
