Planning application submitted for RADA development

Haines Phillips Architects have submitted a planning application for redevelopment of the Bloomsbury campus of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. 

The scheme comprises alterations, extensions and refurbishment to the buildings on Chenies Street, WC1 to create a 300 seat theatre, new facilities including a refectory, library, exhibition spaces, ancillary offices and on site accommodation for 60 students.

The theatre will be renamed after the late RADA president Richard Attenborough and will provide a state of the art performance venue for the next generation of theatrical actors, playwrights and technicians to showcase their work.
