Michael Phillips, Partner

Mike, formerly Partner of Knight Phillips Architects (2000 to 2007), joined Stanley Haines and Maha Phillips as Partner of Haines Phillips Architects upon its inception in 2007.

His work in the years leading up to and since 2007 include projects in diverse sectors, featuring mixed-use developments in Deptford and other inner city areas, affordable housing projects for housing associations and charitable trusts, restoration and conversion works on listed buildings in the public sector, including projects within London Zoo, restoration and conversion works to farmhouses and farm structures in rural settings in Oxfordshire, and residential projects for both developers and private clients in central London and the south east.

Urban contextual design is a particular area of strength in Mike’s work, successfully integrating contemporary buildings into their context and surroundings in numerous of the developments he has been involved with. Many of his projects have been shortlisted for design awards or have gained recognition in architectural journals.
