Our brief for this house refurbishment bucked the current trend in that our client wished to restore period elegance to this Victorian house after it had undergone an unsatisfactory carve-up of its internal spaces and stripping out of its period style by previous owners.
The lower ground floor with its almost minimalist interior and small paved garden is but a few steps from a ground floor living area with retained original cornices and panel doors. And a former water tank space at the back of the “butterfly” roof becomes a tiny but effective fitted study.
