A contemporary interpretation of the adjoining terrace

The site stands on the upper part of Crouch Hill. Our design of the new houses take advantage of views north towards Alexandra Palace with carefully located roof windows and angled projecting ‘bay’ windows at upper ground floor level.

Our design is based on a modern interpretation of the adjoining family houses on Briston Grove. The new houses are arranged over 4 levels from lower ground to second floor level. The houses are stepped in pairs and are cut into the slope of the hill to allow off-street parking to be provided at lower ground floor level for each house.

The private, and generally unobserved rear elevations are clad in western red cedar and powder coated aluminium trims and fascias to the largely glazed lower levels.

Internally the houses are modern and spacious, with large ‘through’ sitting rooms at upper ground floor level culminating in a double-height kitchen/dining area opening onto the gardens at the rear. The master bedrooms have private terraces to the rear.

Contemporary detailing is applied to give the houses a distinctive modern ‘edge’, including the projecting glazed bays, and internal feature staircases.
