This Arts and Crafts house within the Ravenscourt and Starch Green Conservation area needed to be enlarged and refurbished to accommodate our clients’ expanding young family.

An extension to the side and rear provided a large kitchen, dining and family room whilst the sensitive insertion of an additional floor within the roof provided two additional bedrooms, a study and bathroom.

The relocation of the staircase to access the roof space from an existing gable in the centre of the roof space was key to unlocking the design potential, as planning restrictions prohibited any alterations to the roof profile and severely restricted dormer window additions.
